16” x 16,” encaustic on panel. I painted this in the middle of a Maine blizzard, when I was dreaming of spring and the arrival of wildflowers. It was created with multiple layers of melted beeswax, which I then carved into with pottery tools to add texture and enhance the color contrasts. It is on a 1.5” deep maple museum cradle, and does not need to be framed. If you’re interested in having me frame this, please contact me for options and pricing!
