This is one of several paintings exploring new combinations of blue hues. This piece has embedded copper leaf, and I just love how the warm orange undertones of copper complement the blues. I used a glossy, UV-protective varnish on this painting to seal the copper and ensure it is protected. I named this Eddy, as the watery blues and swirling copper reminded me of a small whirlpool.
