I absolutely love pink and often use it, or magenta, as a base layer in my paintings. Apparently, I’m not the only pink lover out there. Did you know that the construction of Barbie Land for the Barbie movie drained an entire company's supply of pink paint and led to a pink paint shortage? Well, there’s no shortage of pink in this ocean sunrise painting, that’s for sure! I had lots of fun with the pink and lavender reflections in the water in this painting, and I was really pleased with the sense of motion in the water’s surface.
